Agilent 3499A Switch/Control Mainframe

Featured with 5 slots, Integrated Digital I/O, and 2U Rack Height, the Agilent 3499A is a Switch/Control Mainframe. This model is ideal for medium sized systems since it can accommodate up to five modules and offers up to 200 channels routing in a test system. When used with various compatible switch modules, the Agilent 3499A Switch can open/close up to 200 channels in < 0.1 second and scan around 350 channels/second.

This model comes with a brilliant user interface especially designed for convenient manual operation in desktop applications or on the manufacturing floor. The Agilent 3499A Switch Control System offers a reliable programming and mechanical environment for a broad range of plug-in type modules. With appropriate modules, the switch/control system offers high speed/high density digital I/O capability and switching. This model comes with integrated RS-232 or GPIB (IEEE 488) communication interfaces and is fully compatible with SCPI commands. Moreover, it has a 4-bit, built-in digital I/O port and supports external triggering.

The HP Agilent 3499A features a comprehensive display divided into various areas. The main area of the display is used to present information about channel status, menu items, information messages, error messages, etc. The slot and channel numbers are displayed on the far right corner. All five slots incorporated in this module are located on the rear panel, along with various other ports, including an RS-232 Connector port, a GPIB Connector port, a Mini DIN Connector, and the power input port. The Mini DIN connector port is provided to make connections to the built-in digital I/O ports and external triggers.
