Megger S1-552/2 Insulation Resistance Tester

Featured with 32 kB onboard memory, RS232, and USB interfaces and IP65 ingress protection, the Megger S1-552/2 is a 5 kV Insulation Resistance Tester. This model is designed specifically to assist users with the maintenance and testing of HV electrical equipment. The case of the Megger S1-552/2 is incredibly rugged and still quite easy to carry. This model comes with an easy to read, large backlit LCD display. Thus, it can be used in both poorly lit and bright sunlight environments. Information displayed through the LCD display includes leakage current, voltage, resistance, battery status, capacitance, and time constant. Moreover, the elapsed time of the test activity is also showed continuously, eliminating the requirement of separate timers. With this model, the user can set their own timers and alarm limits as well as save results in the onboard memory.

The Megger S1-552/2 Insulation Resistance Tester can test accurately when being powered by its internal battery or by the external AC supply- a unique advantage when long term testing is needed, or site conditions are unknown. This model features clear, straightforward and unambiguous controls. However, a “quick start" guide is also provided on the lid of the unit. The battery incorporated in this module offers up to six hours of continuous operation while testing with a 100 MΩ load at 5 kV. The Megger S1-552/2 allows the user to increase test voltages from 50 to 1000 V in 10 V steps and from 1000 to 5000 V in 25 V steps.
