The Pickering 40-615-022-20/8/1 is a high-density, single-slot, 8-channel Multiplexer which belongs to the 40-615 Series. The 40-615 part is standard for all multiplexers in the series, but the remaining numbers are dependent on the quantity of banks, channels, and poles in the module. For example, the 40-615-022-20/8/1 means that the multiplexer has 20 banks, 8 channels, and 1 pole.

This module comes with reed relays. There are additional reed relays on the circuit board to ensure simple maintenance with minimal downtime. The reed relays are created by Pickering Electronics. This module can be utilized as a traditional multiplexer with break-before-make action when a new channel is designated. However, the user cannot select more than one channel on the 40-615-022-20/8/1 simultaneously. The operating speed of the 40-615-022-20/8/1 is <500µs. This multiplexer is ideal for applications such as signal routing in ATE and data acquisition systems.

The 40-615-022-20/8/1 Multiplexer has a 200-pin connector on the front panel. A useful feature of this multiplexer is automatic isolation switching. This feature links solely the active multiplexer bank to the common terminal, which helps the leakage current and capacitive loading remain low in enormous multiplexer systems. This module is compatible with several types of chassis, including Pickering Interfaces LXI or LXI/USB Modular Chassis, Legacy and Hybrid Peripheral slots in a 3U PXI Express (PXIe) chassis, and all chassis conforming to the 3U PXI and 3U Compact PCI (cPCI) specification. This Pickering Multiplexer can be used with VISA, IVI & Kernel drivers for Windows.
