Description
Protek 7830 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer
The Protek 7830 is a Portable, Handheld Spectrum Analyser designed to operate within a frequency range of 100 kHz to 2.9 GHz. This model features a built-in loudspeaker, which allows demodulation and listening to FM, AM, and SSB type signals. The Protek 7830 can prove itself to be a viable solution in many applications, such as hidden camera detection, field wireless installation, manufacturing, jammer detection, etc. This model has a 192 x 192 pixel Mono STN LCD.
This Handheld Spectrum Analyzer features an integrated memory that can be used for the storage of around 100 setups/waveforms. The Protek 7830 offers a reasonable accuracy of ± 3 ppm while operating at 50 Ω impedance. It has two demodulation bandwidths: 80 kHz for wide applications and 12.5 kHz for narrow applications, with a step size of 6.25 kHz. With this model, the user can choose a frequency mode out of start, center, stop, and span set-up modes.
As far as its amplitude related characteristics are concerned, the Protek 7830 is designed to operate within a reference level range of -20 to -110 dBm with a typical ± 1.5 dB accuracy. The internal attenuator can be operated at 10, 20, 30, or 35 dB. The minimum sweep speed the user can achieve is 500 ms. It can be triggered from different sources, including FM, AM, Narrow FM, Wide FM, and SSB. The Protek 7830 can be operated in Free Run, Continuous Wave, and Single Run trigger modes and has markets for Peak Search, Delta, and Marker to Center.
