Tektronix TDS2004C Digital Storage Oscilloscope
The TDS2004C is a 70 MHz, 4 Channels, compact and affordable Digital Storage Oscilloscope from the TDS2000 Series by Tektronix. This model can acquire samples at 1.0 GS/s on each channel and provides 2.5k points record length. It is a viable solution packed with all the standard features including USB connectivity, limit testing, context-sensitive help, and 16 automated measurements. This model features a couple of advanced triggers as well, which are line-selectable video trigger and pulse width trigger. The Tektronix TDS2004C comes with a 5.7” TFT, active display (color).
With this model, users can quickly acquire, save, and examine waveform measurements by connecting their Windows-based PC with a USB device port provided on the back panel of the instrument. This instrument is offered with a copy of a propriety communications software program called OpenChoice® that can be used for a seamless integration between a PC and the Oscilloscope. The other option with OpenChoice software is to directly transfer the selected images and waveform data to any printer that supports PictBridge.
Unlike many other instruments from its class, the TDS2004C supports all three input coupling types, which are AC, DC, and Ground. It offers a sophisticated time base accuracy up to 50 ppm and ±3% DC vertical accuracy. With its horizontal zoom function, the user can compress or expand a stopped or live waveform horizontally for better analysis. It also comes with a trigger view function that can be used to view the trigger signal. Another notable feature is its capability to provide a frequency readout of the trigger source.
