Description
The National Instruments sbRIO-9651 CompactRIO System on Module (SOM) is available in three part numbers: 783525-01 for the SOM Development Kit, 783525-02 for the OEM Kit, and 783525-03 for the Conformal Coated Version. This module is designed to be compatible with NI-RIO Device Drivers from August 2014 or later.
It supports several software options including the LabVIEW FPGA Module 2014 or later, LabVIEW 2014 or later, and the LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2014 or later. The operating system designed for use with this module is the NI Linux Real-Time (32 bit).
The core of the sbRIO-9651 is powered by a Xilinx Zynq-7020 FPGA and a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, running at 667 MHz. It includes 512 MB of DRAM volatile memory and 512 MB of non-volatile memory, ensuring ample space for programming and data storage.
For connectivity, this module features several serial ports including USB, RS-232, and RS-485, with a maximum data rate of 480 MB/s for USB connections. It also offers support for CAN0 and CAN1 networks and includes Ethernet support for networking capabilities.
National Instruments has announced the obsolete status of this module, indicating that it is available for a limited time while supplies last. This announcement underscores the importance of securing necessary units promptly to ensure continuity in development and deployment of systems using the sbRIO-9651.
