SDA-5000 by JDSU/Wavetek/Acterna is a Battery in the SDA series. SDA-5000 features a frequency range of 5 to 1000 MHz and a user definable display span.
The SDA-5000 is a Stealth Digital Analyzer created by JDSU, Wavetek, and Acterna. This model is ideal for HFC network assessments and deployment of digital video, information, and standard analog services. Features such as forward and reverse sweep, PathTrak Field View, multiple languages for the user to choose from, cable modem analysis, and an optional QAM view make the SDA-5000 a suitable option. This Stealth Digital Analyzer has dimensions of 6” x 11” x 3.5” and weighs 5.5 pounds with Option 1 installed. These small dimensions and light weight ensure that this instrument can be smoothly carried in the field. The SDA-5000 is also designed to withstand weather conditions with its sturdy, durable structure.
There are also several options available for the JDSU/Wavetek/Acterna SDA-5000. This flexibility allows the user to tailor the analyzer to their network technology level at an economical cost. Additionally, the SDA-5000 is sweep compatible with Stealth 3ST, 3SR, 3HRV, and StealthTrak SSA-1000 series meters. The one stipulation is that firmware version 9.3 must be installed in Stealth meters and version 2.0 in StealthTrak SSA-1000 meters. For optimum fast forward sweep capabilities, every headend and field device must be part of the SDA series.
The battery for the SDA-5000 Stealth Digital Analyzer can last for up to four hours with constant use. One of the beneficial features of the battery is that it can be swapped in the field for a new battery easily. There are several optional accessories which can be purchased as well, including an extended-life battery kit with the battery, charger/AC adapter, and soft carrying case, an extended-life battery on its own, a replacement soft carrying case, or a universal charger/AC adapter for the battery.
