    Description

The PXI-6289 is a multifaceted data acquisition and signal processing card designed for a wide range of applications. It features 4 Analog Outputs (AO), allowing for precise control over external devices. The card is also equipped with 48 Digital I/O (DIO) channels, providing extensive interfacing capabilities with digital devices.

With 32 Analog Inputs (AI), the PXI-6289 can handle multiple signal inputs, making it ideal for complex measurement tasks. The inputs are processed with an 18-Bit resolution, ensuring high accuracy in the captured data. The card boasts a maximum sample rate of 625 kS/s, allowing for the rapid acquisition of data without sacrificing quality.

The PXI-6289 is further enhanced with two 32-bit Counter/Timers, expanding its functionality in applications requiring precise time measurements and event counting. It supports both Analog and Digital Triggering, providing flexibility in configuring signal acquisition or device control sequences.

This model comes with different part numbers for the PXI hybrid bus connector (779639-01) and the PXI bus connector (779123-01), ensuring compatibility with various PXI chassis configurations. A warm-up time of 15 minutes is required for the device to stabilize and perform optimally.

To maintain its accuracy and reliability, an External Calibration is recommended at least once in 2 years. The card’s Input Impedance is exceptionally high, at >10 GΩ in parallel with 100 pF, minimizing the loading effect on measured circuits. Data transfers can be efficiently managed through DMA (scatter-gather), Programmed I/O, or Interrupts, providing flexibility in handling data according to application requirements.

The PXI-6289 is designed to withstand Overvoltage Protection of ±25 V for up to eight AI pins, safeguarding the device against unexpected voltage spikes. Its
