The 3751 is a GPC-7 Calibration Kit created by Anritsu. This Calibration Kit is designated for use with the Anritsu MS462XX Scorpion VNMS Series. The errors that are reduced by calibrating a device include: load match, isolation, source match, directivity, and frequency sensitivity (tracking). This Calibration Kit will fix the main errors in a microwave test system. The Anritsu 3751 GPC-7 connector has a pin depth of -0.0002 and -0.0007. The 3751 Calibration Kit comes with a 23A50 Male Short, a 24A50 Female Open, a 28A50R Male Termination, and a 28A50R Male Termination.

The MS462XX Series provides a choice of calibration options, depending on the user’s specifications: 1 path, 2 port, 12 term-2 port, both directions, frequency response, and reflection only-2 port. The Anritsu 3751 Calibration Kit has two options which can be added for more advanced capabilities. Option 2 adds another GPC-7 termination, which is necessary for three port calibrations. Option 3 adds two more GPC-7 terminations; these are needed for four port calibrations.

RF components are created to endure years of standard bench handling. Nevertheless, be careful not to drop them or purposefully treat them severely. Connector interfaces on the GPC-7 should always be kept clean from dirt and other substances. When cleaning the connectors, use the correct size cotton swab, confirm that the center pin is not broken or out of place, only use denatured alcohol as a solvent, softly brush the cotton swab around the center conductor, and remember that compressed air can remove dirt and other substances from the connector.
