Keysight 54825A Oscilloscope

The Keysight 54825A is a 4-Channel, 500 MHz Oscilloscope from the Infiniium Series. This model offers 2 GSa/s maximum sample rate on a real-time basis per channel. Its maximum effective sample rate is 100 GSa/s. Similar to any other oscilloscope from the Infiniium family, it comes with 32K (32,768 points/channel) memory depth. This instrument can be operated in Auto or Manual Memory Depth Modes. On auto mode, the unit selects a memory depth by itself for maintaining the best combination of display quality and update rate. On manual mode, the user can choose a memory depth from 16 to 32,768 points.

This modern oscilloscope can collect data in three sampling modes which are: real-time, peak detect, and equivalent time. In real time mode, successive single shots are acquired, whereas random repetitive sampling is done in equivalent time mode. At sample rates of 250 MSa/s or less, it can detect narrow glitches or pulses, (1 ns or broader) while sampling with Peak Detect Mode enabled. The Keysight 54825A offers 8 bits (0.4% of full scale) Resolution in real time and equivalent mode.

The Keysight 54825A and other instruments from the Infiniium Series come equipped with an AutoProbe Interface. It operates as an intelligent power link and communication protocol that couples and operates the Infiniium Series Oscilloscopes with compatible probes. It identifies the probe type and modulates the input impedance, ratio, probe power, and other parameters as needed. The AutoProbe can be considered as an additional mean for oscilloscope and probe safety.
