Keysight 54846B Oscilloscope

The Keysight 54846B is the last and the mightiest oscilloscope from the Infiniium 54800 series. It is a 2.25 GHz bandwidth, 4-channel model, featured with an 8 GSa/s sampling rate, and 64K memory depth in 2-channel mode. The 54846B can operate at 4 GSa/s sampling rate and 32K memory depth in 4-channel mode.

For advanced triggering, this oscilloscope includes powerful violation triggering technology, making it easier for the user to capture and view most robust signals. In addition to typical triggering modes, such as logic, state, glitch, and video trigger, violation triggering brings the ability to trigger on rise and fall of time, hold time, and setup time.

Another valuable feature of the Keysight 54846B is its USB test option, which can make the USB signal integrity and compliance related testing as simple as collecting the signals with your oscilloscope. In Keysight 54846B, embedded run-time MatLab works in conjunction with USB scripts to eliminate the need to transfer the data to a personal computer for post-processing and analysis.

This model provides a wide range of math functions most notably histograms and Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs). Histograms provide a quantifiable means to analyze signal variations with respect to time, while FFTs allow quick recognition of frequency constituents within the signals you are testing.

As a whole, the Keysight 54846B is a sophisticated piece of equipment and offers excellent precision related characteristics. It can operate with 2 mV/div to 1 V/div sensitivity (@50 Ω), a DC Gain Accuracy of ± 1%, (at full resolution channel scale) and an offset accuracy of ± 1% (of channel offset).
