Description
Keysight 6038A DC Power Supply
The Keysight 6038A Power Supply has a load resistance that is equivalent to the crossover resistance for the specific combination of voltage and current settings. If the load resistance increases, the voltage setting decreases. If the current configuration increases, the power supply will work in cv mode. Conversely, if the load resistance decreases, the voltage setting increases. If the current configuration decreases, the power supply will work for dc mode. For load resistances between B and C, the operating point will be on the maximum output-power limit between points 2 and 3, and the OVERRANGE LED will be on. The VOLTS and AMPS displays will demonstrate the voltage and current constantly supplied for the output. The genuine limit will be past the specified base limit. The OVERRANGE LED will light if the real limit is surpassed.
The 6038A Power Supply can work in the over range region for sustained periods without being harmed. However, the supply is not guaranteed to meet specifications in over range. Yield swell builds significantly and regulation is genuinely corrupted.
This Power Supply performs a series of self-tests every time power is turned on. Every front-panel LED, including the sum meter segments, would likewise turn on. The tests take approximately one second to complete and every indicator will remain on while the tests are running. This alerts the user that self-tests are running and permits the user to note if any indicator is defective.
