Keysight 6633A Power Supply

The Keysight 6633A Power Supply is an exceptional unit with a range that has the ability to sink and supply current. The output can be programmed locally starting with the front board and remotely through the HP-IB. Utilizing the front board keypad, the user can program the voltage, current and overvoltage, enable and disable the output, empower overcurrent protection, return the supply to the local operating mode, set the address, and reset the supply after an overvoltage or overcurrent condition. By using the front board display, the user can control the output voltage and current settings, check the operation status of the source of the annunciators, and confirm the kind of error of the error messages shown.

The overvoltage trip point is adjusted on the front board. The estimated trip voltage range is from zero volts to 107% of maximum rated voltage of the energy supply. When the OVP circuit trips, the power supply output is disabled and delivers no output power, and the OVP and disabled indicators turn on.

On a few applications, either CV or CC mode might be viewed as an error condition. The fold-back protection characteristic protects sensitive loads by incapacitating the power supply output if the unit switches to the prohibited mode. In local control, the fold-back protection is toggled on or off by the fold-back switch. The output will be disabled if the power supply switches from whichever mode (CV/CC) is in operation when the fold-back is enabled to the other mode.
