Keysight 81133A Pulse Pattern Generator

The Keysight 81133A Pulse Pattern Generator delivers programmable pulse periods from 15 MHz to 3.35 GHz on every channel. The wide frequency range makes transition time performance imperative. However, this model has lower than 60 ps transition, ensuring that overall performance is not reduced. This Pulse Pattern Generator also offers direct internal and external modes. These modes enable modifications of frequency without dropouts in the 1:2 range occurring. These modes are suitable for applications where drop-outs would render a measurement impossible, such as a micro processor clock sweep or PLL frequency sweep, etc. The delay and deskew of every channel is designated at zero and cannot be altered for both direct modes. An additional feature of direct external mode is that the PLL will be sidestepped and the device will match the externally linked frequency.

On the 81133A Pulse Pattern Generator, there are several programming interfaces available, such as USB 2.0, LAN, and GPIB interfaces. This model additionally has the capability to save instrument settings for an unlimited time. These settings include every signal parameter and information settings. Data patterns with a maximum 8K bit length can be saved as well. The 81133A Pulse Pattern Generator offers memory storage for nine separate settings. The settings will be saved at shutdown and will return after the user powers the instrument on again. If the user wishes to save data patterns with a length greater than 8K bit, it is suggested to utilize the PC-based pattern editor.
