Description
Item #: 8591E
Manufacturer: Agilent
Series: 859x
8591E by Agilent is a Portable Spectrum Analyzer in the 859x series. 8591E features a Frequency Range of 50 Ω: 9 kHz to 1.8 GHz and an Average Continuous Power of +30 dBm (1 W) or +72 dBmV (0.2 W) with Option 1.
The HP Agilent 8591E Portable Spectrum Analyzer can be customized to fit the user’s specific needs because of its many optional capabilities, including, but not limited to: the ability to assess “bursted” signals with time-gated spectrum analysis, analyze components for scalar parameters with built-in tracking generators, and single out closely spaced signals and enhance sensitivity with narrow resolution bandwidths. This spectrum analyzer also has group delay and amplitude flatness capabilities. These features allow the user to perform link analysis on cables, microwave radios, and satellites. There are measurement personalities available for: scalar analysis, RF wireless communications, digital radio, cable TV, broadcast TV, EMI precompliance, lightwave, microwave links, and personalities can even be custom made for the user.
The HP Agilent 8591E has a card reader that allows the user to save data on 128 Kbyte memory cards. Measurement personalities can be downloaded onto the memory cards as well. This Portable Spectrum Analyzer has a resolution bandwidth range from 30 Hz to 3 MHz (10 Hz nominal), an average noise level of -130 dBm (30 Hz-RBW), a calibrated display range of 70 dB, an amplitude range from -130 dBm to +30 dBm, and phase noise (30 kHz Offset, 1 GHz) of -105 dBc/Hz.
The 8591E Portable Spectrum Analyzer has the helpful capability of swiftly listing the top 10 signals, which can be arranged by amplitude or frequency. Limit lines can be utilized to speed signal comparisons to frequency and amplitude limits specified by the user. There are also pass/fail messages provided with the limit lines.
