    Description

    Tektronix AWG5014 Arbitrary Waveform Generator

The Tektronix AWG5014 is a portable Arbitrary Waveform Generator. This model is from the AWG5000 Series by Tektronix and is known for its features, performance, and reliability. This model features 4 analog channels with sample rates up to 1.2 GS/S (variable) and 14-bit vertical resolution, which makes it capable for the signal generation with a high 80dB SFDR. This model comes with 2 digital markers per analog channel.

This arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) is ideal for the testing of 4×4 MIMO systems. The combination of resolution, digital output capability, and speed makes it capable of meeting most of the modern test needs across mixed signals. The Tektronix AWG5014 operates with less than –90 dBc/Hz clock phase noise at 100 kHz offset. Its internal trigger generator is designed to work at 3 digits, 0.1 µs minimum resolution, within a range of 1.0 µs to 10.0 s.

Like other models from the Tektronix AWG5000 family, this model can be operated in multiple modes which are: Gated, Continuous, Triggered, Gated, and Sequence. For sequence control, the user is allowed to choose between Repeat Count, Trigger, Goto-N, and Jump. This mode can be configured to work in either Synchronous or Asynchronous Jump Mode as well.

As far as the controlling features are concerned, the Tektronix AWG5014 comes with a Windows XP based user interference with which users can get acquainted quickly. Apart from this, it also has multiple communication channels for transferring waveform data and for remote controlling. Many of the features the Tektronix AWG5014 has can be accessed via a powerfully designed front panel.
