The HP Agilent E3611A DC Power Supply is a small, lightweight model, which is ideal for powering linear and digital developmental IC circuits. The user can choose the output range from the front panel by pushing the RANGE button. Then, the output can be altered for current and voltage throughout either output range. The VOLTAGE control on the front panel can be utilized to select the voltage limit when the E3611A is used as a constant current source, whereas the CURRENT control can be used to select the output current limit when the DC power supply is used as a constant voltage source. The CC SET button permits the current limit value to be set with the CURRENT control and will not short the output.
The front panel on the E3611A DC Power Supply also has a digital voltmeter/ammeter. A three digit voltage display and three digit current display precisely show the output voltage and current. The output range for this model is 0 to 20 V, 0 to 1.5 A or 0 to 35 V, 0 to 0.85 A. The meter resolution is 100 mV for the voltage and 10 mA for the current. The down programming speed is a maximum of 1.0 seconds and the isolation is ±240 Vdc.
The E3611A DC Power Supply has an overload protection feature. There is a constant current circuit which is ceaselessly working to keep the power supply safe from overloads, such as a direct short across the terminals. The constant voltage circuit limits the output voltage while in constant current mode.
