Keysight E3642A DC Power Supply

The Keysight E3642A DC Power Supply is a stable and dependable model for benchtop and essential robotized test applications, which provides versatile results to tests that require direct velocity and precision. A self-test happens automatically when the user turns on the power supply. This test assures the user that the power supply is operational. This test does not perform the extensive set of tests that are included as part of the complete self-test. If the power-on self-test fails, the error annunciator turns on. A complete self-test performs many tests and takes roughly 2 seconds to execute. If all tests pass, the user can have high confidence that the power supply is operational.

The E3642A complies with the guidelines and regulations of the available form of Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI). The user can find the SCPI version for which the power supply is in compliance by sending a command from the remote interface. The SCPI version can be requested from the remote interface only.

The GPIB connector on the back board associates the power supply to the PC and different GPIB units. A GPIB framework can be associated together in whatever setup (star, linear, or both) if these rules are followed:  Each gadget on the GPIB (IEEE- 488) interface must bring a particular address, the user can set the energy supply’s location at any value between 0 and 30, and the address may be situated with 5 when the power supply is shipped from the factory and the GPIB address is displayed.
