The Keysight E3644A DC Power Supply can be associated with the RS-232 interface by utilizing the 9-pin serial connector (DB-9) on the back board. The power supply is configured as a Data Terminal Equipment Device (DTE). For communications with the RS-232 interface, the power supply utilizes two handshake Lines: Data Terminal Ready (DTR, looking into pin 4) and Data Set Ready (DSR, for pin 6).
