Description
Keysight E3645A DC Power Supply
The Keysight E3645A DC Power Supply incorporates a trigger that is in the volatile memory; the source is created on the bus when the power supply has shut down or after a remote reboot of the interface. In this model, the request service bit is cleared by reading the Status Byte, utilizing a IEEE- 488 serial survey or by reading the event register whose summary bit may be causing the service request. To read the Status Byte summary register, send the IEEE- 488 serial survey message. Querying the summary register will return a decimal value which corresponds to the binary- weighted sum of the buts set in the register. The serial survey will naturally clear the “request service” spot in the Status Byte summary register. Performing a serial survey will not influence the instrument throughput.
With the E3645A, it may be best to utilize the “Operation Complete” bit (bit 0) in the Standard Event register to indicate when a command sequence is finished. This bit is set in the register after an *OPC command has been executed. If the user sends *OPC after a command which loads a message in the power supply’s output buffer (query data), they can utilize the “Operation Complete” bit to determine when the message is accessible.
This model has 2 output ratings at 0ºC to 40ºC, where Range 1 has a voltage between 0 to 35 V and a current of 2.2 A and Range 2 has 0 to 60 V and 1.3 A.
