Description
Keysight E3646A DC Power Supply
The Keysight E3646A DC Power Supply has a power-state erase command that clears the byte status, while the Standard Event record masks when the power is on (* PSC 1). When * PSC 0 is in force, the State Byte and the standard event registration enable masks that are not erased when it is turned on. In this model, by halting an Output in Progress, the user can send a gadget clear at any time to stop an output in progress over the GPIB interface. The status registers, the error queue, and every one of the setup states are left unaltered when a gadget clear message is received.
In the E3646A, errors are retrieved in the first- in- first- out (FIFO) order. The first error returned is the first slip that was stored. When the user has read all errors from the queue, the ERROR annunciator turns off and the errors are cleared. The power supply beeps each time an error happens. If more than 20 errors happen, the last saved in the queue (the latest error) is replaced with – 350, “Queue overflow”. No extra errors would be stored until the user removes errors from the queue. If no errors occurred when the user read the error queue, then the power supply will respond with +0, “No error” through the remote interface or no ERRORS on the front board.
