Description
Item #: E4418B
Manufacturer: Agilent
Series: EPM
E4418B by Agilent is a Power Meter in the EPM series. E4418B features a Frequency range of 100 kHz to 110 GHz and a Power range of -70 dB to +44 dBm (100 pW to 25 W).
The HP Agilent E4418B Power Meter is ideal for bench and automatic test equipment (ATE) use. This Power Meter is compatible with all 8480 series and E-series sensors. The E4418B has a swift measurement speed, as fast as 200 readings per second over the GPIB, with the E-series sensors. There is a speed increase of two times with the 8480 series power sensor, when compared to the 437B. There are not any range-switching delays with the 8480 series, while the E-series has a single fast-range switch point. GPIB and RS-232 connectors are available with this power meter for remote control of every function.
If Option 1 is added for an internal rechargeable battery, the E4418B Power Meter will have an approximate operating time of 3.5 hours with the LED backlight on. The battery life can, however, be extended to 5.5 hours with the LED backlight off. The power meter needs a 30 minute warm-up before being used in order to reach the specifications stated in the user manual.
The frequency range is 9 kHz to 110 GHz, depending on the sensor. The power range is -70 dBm to +44 dBm (100 pW to 25W), depending on the sensor. There are three measurement speed modes over the GPIB. With the E4418B Power Meter, the normal measurement speed is 20 readings per second. The speed times two is 40 readings per second. The final measurement speed is fast, which equates to 200 readings per second. The fast mode is only for E-series sensors.
