Agilent PSA E4448A

The E4448A model is a Spectrum Analyzer part of the PSA Series, which were created in the year 2000 to offer high-performance solutions to R&D and manufacturing engineers in areas such as: defense, aerospace, and communications. The E4448A has a frequency range between 3 Hz to 50 GHz and a frequency span of 0 Hz, 10 Hz and 50 GHz.

The PSA Series address application-specific requirements with capabilities including one-button measurement simplicity and 16 measurement personalities such as W-CDMA, HSDPA/HSUPA, GSM with EDGE, cdma2000, 1xEV-DV, 1xEV-DO, cdmaOne, NADC, TD-SCDMA Modulation Analysis, and PDC .

One of the most important features of this model is the Option 117; this option allows you to use the security mode the next time the analyzer's power is cycled. If you ordered this option, it means that the secure memory’s erase option is loaded into the memory of your instrument and licensed at the factory but not enabled. You should not enable this option until you finish the configuration of your instrument. This process will require you to set the system, config I/O settings as needed, and configure the power-up state you desire. When you are satisfied with the new configuration, you can enable the Secure Memory Erase option by pressing System, Security and Enabled. Once Option 117 is present, the number of personalities that can be loaded into the memory is limited to 3 or 4.

The E4448A and the previous models have similar power requirements: 100 to 120 Vrms, 50/60/400 Hz
