Description
Agilent E8663B Analog Signal Generator
The Agilent E8663B Signal Generator has two sweep types: step sweep and list sweep. The Signal Generator demonstrates the sweep advance in a progress bar on the front-board display. If the sweep time is greater than one second, the progress bar sweep advances as indicated by the frequency span of each segment. For each section in the span, the advance bar shows the full fragment and afterward the range is taken. With sweep times less than one second, the progress bar is drawn, the sweep taken, and the progress bar is then blanked.
The Agilent E8663B offers a Step sweep option that offers a linear progression through the start-to-stop frequency and additionally amplitude esteems. The user can flip the course of the scope up or down. When the Sweep Direction Down Up soft-key is set to Up, values are cleared from the start amplitude/frequency to the stop amplitude/frequency. When it is set to Down, values are swept from the stop amplitude/frequency to the start amplitude/frequency.
The Agilent E8663B Signal Generator can be remotely leveled by associating an outside sensor where the leveled RF output control is needed. This sensor distinguishes changes in RF output power and returns a remunerating voltage to the Signal Generator's ALC input. The ALC hardware raises or brings down (levels) the RF output control in view of the voltage received from the outer sensor, guaranteeing consistent power at the purpose of recognition.
