Description
TDK Lambda EMS 80-60-2-D Power Supply
The TDK Lambda EMS 80-60-2-D Power Supply has a size of 19” W x 13/4” H x 22” D and weighs 15lbs/7kg. This model includes the terminals 1 and 3, which are capable of producing 20 volts RMS in respect to terminal 2. This voltage, after full wave rectification, produces more and less stresses in capacitors C106 and C107. The supply control circuit uses the + polarization level for 15 VDC. Additionally, the 15 V load is approximately 150 mA and less 15 V is 30 mA. CR107 rectifies the 20V RMS, while C106 and C107 are the filter capacitors for the plus and minus control voltage, which is unregulated. U101 and U102 are terminal 3 controllers that emanate the plus and minus 15 VDC regulated.
On the EMS 80-60-2-D, indistinguishable constant current source circuits are tied to the voltage and current channel controls, which are provided by the constant current source for local programing. This current can be changed to 1 mA by potentiometers R143 and R145. These current sources are referenced by the voltage across CR121, a 6.2 V temperature compensated Zener diode.
Voltage monitoring is achieved by connection of a self-contained DC voltmeter to the sensing terminals of the supply. Output current will be estimated by utilizing a shunt related DC ammeter connected across the shunt R11. Alignment of this meter is made by adjustment of R8. The unit will be cooled utilizing fan B1 and is powered upon closure of the circuit board.
