Description
TDK Lambda ESS 80-185-10-D-CE-0806 Power Supply
The TDK Lambda ESS 80-185-10-D-CE-0806 Power Supply utilizes a 25-pin Sub-D female connector (J1) that will be used to configure the working mode of the source of power. Depending on the setup of the J1 programming connector, an outside resistance, voltage or current can be used to control the power supply in the remote operation mode. Remote programming can be applied at whatever voltage channel (voltage regulation circuit) or current channel (current regulation circuit). If strong fields of AC or RF are present, the user can utilize a twisted pair or protected cable to connect the remote terminals of J1 to the programming source.
The RSTL controller board on the ESS 80-185-10-D-CE-0806 is factory-installed for remote PC control of ESS power frameworks made by Lambda-EMI. The RSTL is intended to functionally copy the voltage and present controls on the front board of the power supply. These controls select the programming levels and provide metering of the supply output. When set to remote mode, the RSTL disables the front board control, but (the meters still read), and asserts control of the power supply. The RSTL also disables the analog system when in control.
Every command sent from the RSTL must be followed by a CR LF (ASCII 13 and 10). Typically, this is taken care of throughout the setup of the IEEE-488 card installed in the client computer. For example, the National Instruments cards need an End of String (EOS) byte that is regulated by the client.
The manual for this model is available on the ApexWaves.com website.
