The Fluke 1587 offers a large display with a backlight, insulation test voltages (50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V) for many applications, a live circuit detection that prevents insulation test if voltage > 30 V is detected for added user protection, an auto-discharge of capacitive voltage for added user protection, a filter for motor drive measurements, and an AC/DC voltage with DC milliVolts, AC/DC milliamps, Resistance (Ω), and Continuity.

The Fluke 1587 consolidates a digital insulation analyzer with a full-highlighted, genuine rms advanced multimeter in a single minimal, handheld unit, which gives the most maximum versatility for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
