Description
Fluke 80i-500s AC Current Clamp Probe
The Fluke 80i-500s is a clamp-on type Current Probe, capable of reproducing current waveforms found in modern industrial and commercial power distribution systems. The performance is optimized for precise reproduction of currents up to the 50th harmonic and line frequency. This model is compatible with all instruments capable of millivolt measurements. The Fluke 80I-500S is an ideal option for measuring associated harmonics and distorted current waveforms. It allows current measurements from 1 to 500A ac rms, 5 Hz to 10 kHz and provides an output of 1 mV ac / 1 am ac.
The Fluke 80i-500s AC Current Clamp Probe comes equipped with a passive filter that eradicates noise on quickly rising waveforms, guaranteeing precise imitation on oscilloscope displays. This model is rated to be used with 600V circuits of overvoltage CAT III, while the AC over range limit is up to 700A ac rms for 10 minutes maximum. The user can couple this Current Probe with any voltmeter, oscilloscope, or voltage measuring device that accepts a standard BNC connector.
In some cases, a BNC-to-banana type adaptor can also be considered with standard inputs on a DMM (digital multimeter). The Fluke 80i-500s offers >1MΩ input load impedance with up to 47 pF. It can be used with two 25 mm maximum conductor diameter and 63 five mm maximum conductor size (busbars). This probe comes with a BNC adaptor and has a 1.6 m output cable length. It offers 2% basic accuracy and can handle as low as 1 A measurable current.
