Description

Hioki 3154 Digital M-Ohm HiTester

The Hioki 3154 is a Digital MΩ HiTester. This model is an electrical safety test instrument designed for the testing of insulating material`s resistance, as well as for the voltage withstand testing across various electrical components as defined by safety standards. With this model, the user can choose a test voltage level out of six selectable test voltages: 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 V. This model features a variety of safety and automation features to ensure efficient, safe, and precise testing for a broad range of equipment and test conditions.

With this model, the user can control all test parameters remotely by GPIB or RS-232C. These parameters include cut-off current, timer durations, test voltage, and resistance threshold. The Hioki 3154 features an integrated pass-fail comparator and timer functions for smooth and seamless compliance testing. It also has an internal memory where a maximum of 10 test conditions and configurations can be saved.

The Hioki 3154 comes with an incorporated interlock protect function. This function ensures the safety during programmed or automatic testing, since it interrupts rest output after receiving input signals from electronic sensing elements. This model provides a zero-v switching option to prevent the on/off switching of test voltage during sine wave zero-crossings.

To reduce unsteadiness, the Hioki 3154 can be operated in a slow sampling mode to acquire samples at a rate of 1 sample/s. In fast sampling mode, it receives samples at a rate of 10 sample/s.  This Digital MΩ HiTester can be utilized for insulation testing and insulation resistance of a broad range of electrical equipment, such as motors, transformers, relays, switches, home appliances, coils, magnetic heads, medical equipment, etc.
