The Anritsu Spectrum Master MS2721A was the first compact, fully-functional and handheld spectrum analyzer designed to conduct precise analysis on cellular signals and wireless LAN. This model`s most noticeable testing areas include: 802.11a, ultra-wideband, 3G, WiMAX, and Wireless Medical Patient Monitoring Networks. The MS2721A has a frequency range encompassing 100 kHz to 7.1 GHz.

With ≤–153 dBm Displayed Average Noise Level Typical @ 1 GHz, the kind of sensitivity this instrument offers is unprecedented in handheld spectrum analyzers that operate on batteries. Its higher sensitivity enables it to measure extremely low level and weak signals.
