While the 6521A DC Power Supply is in constant voltage operation, a one turn current control permits the current limit point to be set to a value in the current rating. While this model is in constant current operation, the current control changes the output current. At the same time, the voltage controls or thumbwheels deliver a voltage limit which can also be altered.  This power supply is protected against reverse voltage that could be created by an active load. However, protection from reverse current entails pre-loading the power supply with a dummy load. This will guarantee that the supply outputs current through the complete functioning cycle of the load. Convection cooling, the capability to be rack mounted or used on the bench, and the short circuit proof features make the 6521A DC Power Supply the optimal choice.
