The 36581NNF AutoCal module comes with a data file characterizing every requirement in the calibrator module. The module will perform to the specifications for six months without re-characterization. After the six month period has passed, re-characterization must be performed either by the user or by bringing the module to a service center.

The AutoCal module has a serial interface straight to the Anritsu 37000 and MS462xx Series of Vector Network Analyzers. The control software is built-in to the Vector Network Analyzer. An external controller is not needed. Manual control is available as well. This provides the capability to link any of the internal standards to the test ports of the Vector Network Analyzer. Manual control may be utilized to manually confirm a calibration.
