6050A by Agilent is an Electronic Load Mainframe in the 6050 series. 6050A features a Frequency from 48 to 63 Hz and a Maximum VA of 635.

The HP Agilent 6050A Electronic Load Mainframe supports as many as six 60501B, 60502B, or 60503B load modules or three 60504B and 60507B load modules. The total maximum power the mainframe allows is 1,800 watts. A single GPIB address is required for full control and readback of each load module installed in the mainframe. Through the GPIB, voltage, resistance, and current can be controlled. There is a built-in pulse waveform generation feature with programmable frequency, duty cycle, slew rate, and amplitude. Complete safety is provided to prevent overpower, over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current, and reverse polarity.

The 6050A Electronic Load Mainframe is ideal for applications where swift transients are applied to the load inputs. For example, this model is beneficial when dc power supply startup characterization is occurring, or transient response assessment is taking place. Other areas of use include research and development, manufacturing, and incoming inspection. This model helps minimize cost, time, and space, since multiple modules can be inserted at a time. The system can even be configured again later, if the user wishes to swap load modules.

The 6050A Electronic Load Mainframe can also be used manually on the bench. There are LCD meters on the front panel which specify power, voltage, and current readings. When it is being used manually, the front-panel keypad permits dependable, swift, and repeatable control of the load. There are also six volatile user-definable states, which ensure the user can store settings to be accessed later. A user-definable power state additionally lets the user specify settings that are remembered even when the model is powered off and then remembered when it is powered on again.
