The Agilent 8565EC Portable Millimeter Spectrum Analyzer can measure from .10 to 99.99 percent occupied bandwidth, measure frequencies precisely with the built-in frequency counter, has low phase noise, and a fast digital resolution bandwidth. This Millimeter Spectrum Analyzer is suited for R&D and manufacturing environments. It is the ideal answer for ACP testing of burst carrier signals utilizing digital modulation, like the type used in NADC-TDMA, GSM, CT2-CAI, PDC, PHS, and DECT systems. A variety of the former problems for the well-known requirements have been improved, with measurement capabilities that are quicker and more exact than ever before. The frequency range of this model encompasses from 9 kHz to 50 GHz and can be extended down to 30 Hz with Option 6 added. The preselected range is 2.75 GHz to 50 GHz.

The 85672A spurious response measurements utility can be used with the 8565EC to perform swift and simple spurious response assessments. Another model that can be combined with the Agilent 8565EC is the 85620A Mass Memory Module. The 85620A adds a measurement personality capability, storage space for 100 traces, memory-card capability, along with computer capability, and does not need an external controller. With this combination of models, the user can easily generate complicated measurement patterns and store them as one key measurements either on memory cards or in the module’s 128 KB of battery-packed RAM. The 85620A also has a clock/calendar and automatic save and execute function to allow the user to set up the 8565EC Portable Millimeter Spectrum Analyzer for unsupervised, automatic measurements.
