The Keysight 6634A is a Single Output Linear System Power Supply which is enhanced for systems applications. The Keysight 6634A has various beneficial features, including, a 100 watt linear output, a built-in HP-IB interface, a current sinking capability, overcurrent and overvoltage safeguarding, and the ability to measure current and voltage output readback through the HP-IB. This power supply has a built-in self-test capability, which confirms the proper function of the HP-IB circuitry, D/A’s, and A/D’s when it is first turned on and by HP-IB command. The specifications of this model are: an amplitude of -13% to +6% of nominal line voltage, a frequency range from 48 to 63 Hz, and a peak inrush current of 25 A (typical).

With Option 750, built-in relays can deliver output connect/disconnect and polarity reversal. Discrete Fault Indicator and Remote Inhibit lines are provided, as well as a swift disconnect DC output terminal connector. Another option for this model is Option 20, which adds a front panel output in parallel with the back panel output terminal strip. The front panel binding posts deliver versatility in accessing the power supply output. They are also quite helpful in system development and bench applications.

There are two types of modes available for the Keysight 6634A power supply: fast mode and normal mode. A switch on the back panel can be utilized to determine the operating mode. If Fast Mode is implemented, the output capacitors are disconnected to increase the output response time. On the other hand, if Normal mode is implemented, minimal output PARD will be enhanced.
