Description

Item #: 8562E
Manufacturer: Agilent
Series: 8560xE/EC

8562E by Agilent is a Portable Spectrum Analyzer in the 8560xE/EC series. 8562E features a Frequency Range of 30 Hz to 13.2 GHz and an RF input Connector of Type N female.

The Agilent 8562E Portable Spectrum Analyzer is ideal for modern day high-speed digital wireless communication applications. This model enables manufacturing and R&D engineers to analyze network parts with unmatched performance capabilities. The 8562E has a frequency range from 30 Hz to 13.2 GHz. This range covers the spur-search ranges specified by the top standards organization in Europe and the United States for GSM. While using this product, test time will be greatly decreased.

The 8562E Portable Spectrum Analyzer weighs 44 pounds, has a CRT monochrome display which can be adjusted for contrast, and an amplitude range from -148 dBm to +30 dBm. On the front panel, control functions enable the user to change the resolution and video bandwidths, the display, sweep time, and various other functions that will control spectrum analyzer measurement abilities. Marker functions read out frequencies and amplitudes on the spectrum analyzer trace and allow the user to perform relative measurements.

On the Agilent 8562E, when there are two signals with an amplitude that is not equivalent, the resolution bandwidth has to be lower than or equivalent to the frequency separation of both signals. Furthermore, the bigger resolution bandwidth that will solve the two nonequivalent signals is decided by the shape factor of the IF filter, not by the bandwidth. Shape factor is known as the ratio of each bandwidth to the other compared to the IF filter. The half-bandwidth of a filter at the point equivalent to the amplitude separation of both signals has to be lower than the frequency separation of both signals.
