Description
Anritsu Synthesized Signal Generator 68077B
The 68077B is a synthesized and modern age signal generator from Anritsu. It is implemented to generate frequencies for different R&D applications. The Anritsu 68077B comes with wide frequency ranges. These frequency ranges offer different output power levels to the users. It also has the IEEE-488 GPIB interface for an external communication feature. The GPIB address can be set from the system menu. The 68077B signal generator frequency range is from 0.01 GHz to 50.0 GHz. The device offers twenty independent frequency markers in step sweep mode. The accuracy of the marker is exceptionally high. The step sweep mode has output frequency difference in discrete and synthesized steps. It ranges between selected start and stops frequencies. The 68077B also has generated video markers. These markers help to get a pulse on a CRT display.
The main controller in the Anritsu 68077B is the central processor unit (CPU). The CPU controls all functions of the instrument. The CPU contains the memory that stores the main operating system components. It also stores instrument firmware, calibration data, and front panel setups. This data is also retained in the power off condition. The firmware of 68077B also comes with the capabilities of an internal diagnostics feature. This feature provides the self-test of the instrument. It also helps to test the internal assemblies. An error message will be displayed in case of a self-test failure. It helps in measurement analysis in various testing environments and also resolves problems for accurate measurement.
