Anritsu 69337B Signal Generator
In the Anritsu 69337B Signal Generator, a part of the RF output is distinguished and coupled out of the Directional Coupler/Level Detector as the feedback input to the ALC loop. The feedback signal from the indicator is directed to the A10 ALC PCB where it is contrasted and a reference voltage that represents the desired RF power output level. If the two voltages do not coordinate, an error correction signal is sustained from the A10 ALC PCB to the modulator shaper enhancer circuits situated on the A9 PIN Control PCB and the A14 SDM, SQM Driver PCB, if installed. The subsequent modulator control voltage output causes the modulators situated in the Switched Filter assembly, the SQM, and the Digital Down Converter assembly, to change the RF output level. In this manner, the feedback signal from the detector will be set equivalent to the reference voltage.
ALC Slope during simple sweeps is included. A slope vs frequency signal, from the A12 Analog Instruction PCB, is summed with the level reference and detector contributions to the ALC loop. The Slope DAC, under the control of the CPU, changes this ALC slope signal to compensate for an expanding or diminishing output control versus recurrence characteristic caused by the level detectors and (discretionary) advance attenuator. Furthermore, the Slope DAC gives the client a chance to alter for the slope versus recurrence attributes of outside components.
Power Sweep is also included on the Anritsu 69337B Signal Generator. The CPU has the ALC step the RF output through a range of levels determined by the client. This element can be utilized with the sweep mode to deliver an arrangement of indistinguishable recurrence sweeps, each with an alternate RF control output level.
