Description
Item #: 8644B
Manufacturer: Agilent
Series: 86xx
8644B by Agilent is a RF Signal Generator in the 86xx series. 8644B features Frequency Range of 0.252 to 1,030 MHz and a Output Level of +16 to -137 dBm.
The 8644B RF Signal Generator created by Agilent covers a frequency range from 252 kHz to 1,030 MHz, which can be extended to 2,060 MHz with Option 2. The HP Agilent 8644B RF Signal Generator has a rise/fall time <100 ns, weighs 67 lbs., has dimensions of 7 x 16.8 x 24.6 in., and an output level +16 to -137 dBm.
This model can measure AM, FM, or pulse modulation, has the lowest SSB phase noise and spurious, the lowest residual FM, and the highest output power of any models in the 86xx Signal Generator Series. The SSB phase noise is -136 dBc/Hz and spurious is -105 dBc. The Agilent 8644B is suitable for certain assessments that need the lowest SSB phase noise or for applications with varied performance specifications.
The 8644B has complete functionality for radar/EW testing in R&D and manufacturing fields. Additionally, with Option 9 added, the 8644B gives designated VOR/ILS signal simulation, which is ideal for avionics. This RF Signal Generator has an option for a high reliability electronic attenuator, as well as an option for a 2 GHz frequency counter. Moreover, Option 10, reduced leakage configuration, is a measurement method created by Agilent implementing resonant dipole antennas. These antennas are 20-25 dB more sensitive than the two-turn loop technique formerly used. While using Option 10, the level of radiated emissions will be decreased. Not every application needs the lowest possible emissions, which is why Agilent has made Option 10 accessible for each model in the 86xx Signal Generator Series.
