The Tektronix AFG3021 Arbitrary/Function Generator is ideal for the following applications: education and training, electronic test and design, functional tests, and sensor simulation. This model has a 5.6 inch monochrome display to view settings and waveform shapes with ease. There are 12 different waveform types available for use. The Tektronix AFG3021 has a vertical resolution of 14 bits, non-volatile memory storage for four waveforms, a memory sample rate 2 to 64 K: 250 MS/s, a USB interface, and a waveform length from 2 to 65, 536.

The AFG3021 Arbitrary/Function Generator has three functions in a single instrument: 25 MHz to 240 MHz Function Generator, 12.5 MHz to 120 MHz Pulse Generator, and a 14 bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator. The AFG3021 comes equipped with ArbExpress Software, which allows waveforms to be effortlessly imported from any Tektronix oscilloscope or defined by regular functions, waveform math, and equation editor. Shortcut keys on this model deliver direct access to commonly used functions and parameters. Other functions can be accessed through clearly structured menus. This decreases the time spent learning how to use the arbitrary/function generator.

The Tektronix AFG3021 Arbitrary/Function Generator has a USB memory connector, which allows the user to store or recall user-defined waveforms to/from a USB memory, update the arbitrary function generator firmware, and store or recall setups to/from files on a USB memory. A USB memory with a cross section smaller than 20 mm x 12 mm should be used to link to the AFG3021 front panel USB connector. If you would like to link a bigger USB memory, an extension cord can be used.
