The Tektronix TDS744A can save 4 complete 50 K point waveforms and 10 front-panel setups. With Option 1M, however, 2 complete 130 K point waveforms can be saved, or 1 complete 250 K point waveform, or even 1 compressed 500 K point waveform. The AutoSave function on this oscilloscope can automatically save single sequence waveforms to the NVRAM. The floppy drive can save reference waveforms, setups, and image files on a 3.5 inch 1.44 Mbyte or 720 Kbyte DOS-format floppy disk. The TDS744A also has 25 automatic measurements available for the user to choose from.

The trigger types include: pulse (width, 1 ns Glitch, Runt and Slew Rate), Edge (main and development), HDTV Video (optional), and Logic (State, Pattern, and Setup & Hold Time Violation).
