Chroma 19052 Hipot Tester

The Chroma 19052 is an AC/DC/IR Hipot Tester designed to offer insulation resistance (IR) measurements and hipot testing. This model provides 0.05 ~ 5kV AC and 0.05 ~ 6kV DC output voltage, with 1% of setting + 5V load regulation and 2V voltage resolution. The cutoff current for corresponding AC and DC voltages remains around 0.1 ~ 30mA and 0.01 ~ 10mA respectively, with 1% of setting + 5 count current accuracy, 1μA AC and 0.1μA DC resolution and 50Hz / 60H frequency.

This model comes with an Open Short Check (OSC) function that can be used for the determination of an open circuit between the instrument and the DUT or for investigating any internal breakdown inside the DUT. The Chroma 19052 features a ground continuity check function as well. This function is used to determine that the resistance between any exposed metal on the product and the ground blade of the power cord is <1Ω. To protect users, this model has a GFI (ground fault interrupt) function as well. This Hipot Tester automatically interrupts power if a ground current > 0.5 mA persists for more than a few milliseconds.

The Chroma 19052 has a quick discharge function also. This function ensures a rapid and safe discharge of the DUT through the HV transformer in IR and DC hipot testing. This model consumes 300W of power and weighs around 15 kg. To communicate with other compatible devices and for remote controlling, the 19052 comes equipped with an RS-232 interface. The Chroma 19052 features a panel operation lock to ensure that only authorized personnel with the right password can operate this device.
