The DSO8104A has four scope channels, a bandwidth of 1 GHz, a sample rate of 2 GSa/s for four channels, and a standard memory of 4 Mpts for four channels.

The DSO8104A has an XGA LCD display screen, a reactive deep memory, and advanced triggering features. The standard 4 Mpts memory allows the user to catch long time periods and maintain quick sample rates. The quick update rates mean the oscilloscope will remain reactive with deep memory on, guaranteeing an accurate depiction of analog signals. The advanced triggering functions are necessary if the user is exploring suspected issues. Therefore, the advanced triggers will aid the user with pinpointing and catching the setting they want to characterize.

There are also drag and drop capabilities on the HP Agilent DSO8104A Infiniium Digital Storage Oscilloscope. An icon can be dragged from the measurement bar and dropped on the cycle the user desires to measure. A maximum of five measurements can be made on the waveforms, on as many as five diverse cycles. Every measurement will be displayed on the bottom of the display. Statistics will also be shown for the measurements, which are color-coded to the channel the user is measuring.
