The Anritsu MT8802A Radio Communication Analyzer is a one-box tester for CDMA measurements and is ideal for R&D, maintenance, and manufacturing applications. The MT8802A Radio Communication Analyzer can assess every major radio communication system in the world, including IS-95, GSM/DCS1800/PCS1900, IS-136A, AMPS/NAMPS, PDC, and PHS. The MT8802A is eight instruments in one: a signal generator, AF oscillator, RF analyzer, audio analyzer, and more, including an optional spectrum analyzer. When it is being used as a spectrum analyzer, the frequency range covered is from 10 MHz to 3 GHz. Otherwise, the general frequency range of the model encompasses from 300 kHz to 3 GHz.

The Anritsu MT8802A makes FM radio transmission/reception tests easier with the analog measurement function. The optional spectrum analyzer function is helpful when measuring and maintaining spurious located near carrier on production lines. Both RS-232C and GPIB interfaces are standard features on the MT8802A, so this model can be easily used in automated production lines or on-site automated testing systems. Also, the time necessary for assessing equipment on production lines will dramatically decrease by utilizing the high-speed adjacent channel power and occupied bandwidth measurement functions.

The Anritsu MT8802A Radio Communication Analyzer can run as an artificial base station and complete functions such as: evaluation of registration, termination, origination, loopback, conversation, disconnection from a mobile station, handoff, and disconnection from a network. These operations enable the terminal to be set to measure the transmission/reception performance. The power levels of numerous access probes can also be measured in agreement with the requirements.
