The Tektronix TDS3052 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope is an affordable, portable model for design engineers and technicians in applications such as power supply design, industrial electronic design, digital design and debug, telecommunications manufacturing, connected instrumentation, and numerous others. This oscilloscope comes with the following features: 9-bit vertical resolution, 21 automatic measurements, a VGA color LCD, a multi-language user interface, and advanced triggers. The quick update rate on the TDS3052 makes it simpler for users to catch and display intermittent waveforms or waveform modifications.

The TDS3052 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope has several communication modules available, including: the TDS3GM Communications Module, TDS3VM Communications Module, and the TDS3EM Communications Module. A single communication module can be installed at a time. The modules come with WaveStar Software for oscilloscopes 30-day, complete-functioning product demonstration. There are also application modules, such as the FFT Application Module and an Advanced Trigger Application Module. The FFT Application Module adds FFT measurement functions and four FFT window types, while the Advanced Trigger Application Module adds logic and pulse triggering capabilities.

The Tektronix TDS3052 has several arithmetic functions installed: Divide, Subtract, Multiply, and Add. There is also an autoset function, which allows the user to press one button for automatic setup on a chosen input signal for horizontal, vertical, and trigger systems. Deskew is another waveform processing feature on this model. Channel to channel deskew plus or minus 10 ns can be manually entered for more accurate timing measurements and math waveforms. Another helpful fact to note is that the probes that should be used with the TDS3052 oscilloscope are the P6139A 10X passive probes. Two of these probes are needed.
