The Agilent 8564EC Millimeter Spectrum Analyzer is the ideal choice for measuring adjacent-channel power (ACP) on modern day wireless phones, pagers, and other types of transmitters in R&D and manufacturing. PowerSuite one-button measurements are included on this model; they ensure that broadband signal measurements are easy to make with original signal/spectrum analyzer measurement ability. PowerSuite provides a complete selection of one-button RF and microwave power measurements for wireless formats covering 2G/3G/4G cellular, digital video, wireless connectivity, etc.
The 8564EC Millimeter Spectrum Analyzer covers a frequency range from 9 kHz to 40 GHz, with an option to make the coverage even lower, down to 30 Hz. A solitary coaxial link is the only element that is necessary to measure frequency signals in the aforementioned range. Additionally, the 8564EC comes equipped with functions such as preselection which decreases images and numerous responses at higher frequencies. The Agilent 8564EC can be used in conjunction with the 11974 mixers. With this combination, preselection can then be stretched to 75 GHz. With the 11970 series mixers, unselected frequency range be stretched to 110 GHz or to 325 GHz if utilizing mixers from a different manufacturer.
The 8564EC Spectrum Analyzer has time-gated signal analysis, which enables the user to measure time-varying signals with ease. These time-varying signals include the following: interleaved, burst-modulated, pulsed RF, and time-division multiple access (TDMA). The 8564EC also has Agilent BenchLink Spectrum Analyzer PC Software, which gives a simple-to-use communications link from the PC to the 8564EC Spectrum Analyzer. Screen images can be moved from one to the other, as can trace data, by way of the GPIB interface.
