The HP Agilent 86100C Infiniium DCA-J Wide-Bandwidth Oscilloscope Mainframe is comprised of a wide-bandwidth oscilloscope, a jitter analyzer, a digital communications analyzer, and a time-domain reflectometer. The bandwidth of this oscilloscope guarantees precise waveform measurements. The jitter and interference analyzer portion of the 86100C can measure subcomponent jitter. The time-domain reflectometry/transmission (TDR/TDT) is useful for high precision impedance assessments such as S-parameters. This Mainframe can be used with a variety of electrical/optical modules to further enhance its capabilities. Two electrical/optical modules can be inserted into the 86100C Mainframe with a total of four optical or electrical channels.
The Agilent 86100C Wide-Bandwidth Oscilloscope has a unique feature called Eyeline Mode that further explains the results of certain bit transitions within a data pattern. This view aids diagnosis of device or system errors due to certain transitions or sets of transitions within a pattern. Eyeline mode can be combined with mask limit tests, then it has the capability of swiftly singling out a certain bit that resulted in a mask violation. Eyeline Mode utilizes PatternLock triggering to build up an eye diagram from samples taken in order from the data pattern. This keeps up a certain timing relationship among samples. It also enables the Eyeline Mode to draw the eye from certain bit paths.
The 86100C Infiniium DCA-J Wide-Bandwidth Oscilloscope Mainframe is backward compatible with the modules from the 54750A High-Bandwidth Digitizing Oscilloscope family, the modules from the 83480A Digital Communications Analyzer family, and the modules from the 86100 A/B Digital Communications Analyzer family.
