The Tektronix MDO3104 Mixed Domain Oscilloscope is six instruments in a single once: an arbitrary function generator, logic analyzer, digital voltmeter/counter, an integrated spectrum analyzer, and protocol analyzer. This oscilloscope can be used in service installation and maintenance, embedded design, manufacturing tests and troubleshooting, education, and power design applications. This model has advanced analysis functions, such as video, limit/mask, and power functions. The MDO3104 provides inclusive tools to speed up every part of the debugging process, including searching the waveform record for certain events, assessing details and the device’s behavior, and swiftly uncovering irregularities.

The Tektronix MDO3104 has more than 125 trigger combinations with a full set of triggers, such as logic, pulse width/glitch, runt, serial packet, setup and hold violation, and parallel information. There is also a maximum 10 M record length on the MDO3104, which allows the user to catch numerous events, including thousands of serial packets, in one acquisition for more analysis while keeping up high resolution to zoom in on intricate signal characteristics. The extremely long record lengths can contain thousands of screens of waveform information. Wave Inspector software is a great tool for waveform navigation and automated search, which permits the user to discover events they are interested in quickly.

Waveform histograms display visually how waveforms change over an extended period. Horizontal waveform histograms are helpful for learning more about how much jitter is on a clock signal and what the dispersal of that jitter is. On the other hand, vertical histograms are helpful for learning more about how much noise is on a signal and what the dispersal of that noise is.
