Description

Anritsu Pulse Pattern Generator MG642A

The MG642A is an efficient pulse signal generator from Anritsu. The MG642A operates at the clock frequency range of 50 MHz to 2 GHz. This pulse signal generator works in combination with the MS65A error detector. The MG642A comes with the pseudo-random patterns function. It has the capability of generating the pseudo-random pulse train for 15 stages. The pseudo-random pattern length is 32767 bits.

The Anritsu MG642A can generate programmable patterns. It has programmable patterns of 8, 12, and 24 bits length. The MG642A comes with a switch to select these patterns. This model also offers an external clock, which helps deliver an input sine wave. It also offers rectangular wave. The duty factor of these waves is 50 %. It comes with an external clock input level of 0.7Vp-p to 2Vp-p. The MG642A clock output also offers square wave. It comes with an output level >= 0.5 V.

The Anritsu MG642A comes equipped with many useful features, including an EXT DELAY interface. The clock output and EXT DELAY help delay the pattern output. The MG642A has a pattern sync output as well, which helps the waveform observation trigger. It also comes with user-friendly front panel options. The MG642A has an attenuation knob on the front panel, which helps set the attenuation levels. It also offers clock input and output connections on the panel. The MG642A panel also helps the user select the patterns. The pseudo-random and programmable pattern options can be set from the panel as well.
