The Anritsu MT8212B Cell Master can utilize Over The Air measurement to demodulate CDMA signals, while sitting in a car or truck. The MT8212B has the following specifications: a weight of less than five pounds, built-in worldwide signal standards and frequency channels, a sweep time of <500 msec, an operating temperature of 10 to 50 degrees C, and enough internal memory to save as many as 200 traces and 25 setup configurations.

The MT8212B has many features that make it ideal for field use for network technicians and engineers. The model has a transflective color display; it is viewable even in direct sunlight and at wide viewing angles. The Anritsu MT8212B utilizes Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) to aid technicians and wireless field engineers in discovering cable, feedline, and antenna system issues before they become expensive fatal errors. FDR techniques also assess cable feedline and antenna systems at the correct operating frequency. Since FDR helps them spot these issues before they cannot be fixed, broken or damaged connectors, lightning arrestors, cables, jumpers, and antennas can be replaced before call quality decreases.

The MT8212B Cell Master has Master Software Tools, which give the user complete data management and tools to use post-processing.  While utilizing the Master Software Tools, the user can make their own custom reports, create historical records with an infinite number of traces in a single document, download and archive every measurement saved in the internal memory with one menu click, look at spectrogram displays in 3D, change and generate custom signal requirements and cable lists, and much more.
